Ultimate Chain Retention

The Wolf Tooth GnarWolf Chainguide rev2 is designed for maximum chain retention for mountain biking, extreme gravel, and particularly rough CX races. It is compatible with most bikes using 1x drivetrains that have a front derailleur mount and round and oval chainring sizes 34-62T.

Simple Adjustability

The base of the GnarWolf allows for the vertical adjustment necessary for differing chainring sizes, while the GuideLock Quick Adjustment System moves the chainguide head to accommodate chainlines from 45-51mm. Adjusting the GuideLock Quick Adjustment System requires just a 4mm hex to operate an expanding elliptical mandrel to move the head securely into place without the use of shims.

We believe in your right to be able to fix your components. Crashes happen, parts get misplaced, things go bump in the night. All individual pieces of GnarWolf Chainguide are available individually as replacement parts, just like other Wolf Tooth components that have multiple pieces.

100% user serviceable

Service for the GnarWolf Chainguide is easy and can be done at home. A 4mm hex key is the only tool required for installation and adjustment.

Replacement Parts Available

Each of the eight components of the GnarWolf Chainguide can be purchased individually. If something breaks in a crash, save money by replacing just the affected part instead of an entire assembly.

The Wolf Tooth GnarWolf Braze-On Chainguide rev2 provides maximum chain retention in the roughest gravel, CX, and road races. Designed specifically around 1x wide/narrow chainrings, the GnarWolf Chainguide rev2 will keep your chain glued to your chainring in the most extreme of conditions. No other gravel, road, or CX chainguide is as rigid or as easy to adjust as the GnarWolf.

  • 8mm of chainline adjustment via our GuideLock quick adjustment system. No shims required.

  • Infinite vertical adjustment between 34T and 46T for round and oval chainrings

  • Loosen one screw to flip the guide out of the way for easy chain removal without losing any of the guide's adjustments

  • All adjustments made with common 4mm hex key

  • Designed for the rigors of the muddiest CX course or roughest gravel riding, the Wolf Tooth engineers made this guide extremely stiff and strong while keeping it light at 44g

  • Specific guide shaping is optimized for use with elliptical/oval and round chainrings

  • Installation takes just a few minutes – no need to remove your crank arms

  • Designed to fit on any bike with an integral braze-on mount. If you have a round seat tube with no braze-on mount, you can buy a braze-on adapter
  • Designed to accommodate chainlines from approx. 45mm to 51mm
  • Minimum distance of 10 mm between crank and center of ring
  • See photos above as installation guide
  • Optimized for use with oval and round 34-46T chainrings. (Clearance for larger chainrings is possible using the LoneWolf mid sweep and high sweep braze-on mount guides.)
  • For 1x use only
  • Not compatible with crankset mounted bashrings
Note: Braze-on mount is not at the same height on all bikes so max chainring size will vary somewhat depending on frame brand and model
