Sales and Marketing Manager

Otso Cycles is a relatively new but rapidly growing bike brand focused on highly versatile performance oriented bikes. The current product line is composed of fat bikes and gravel bikes that are used by racers, bikepackers, and everybody in between. We are actively planning and developing additional bike models as well. Otso Cycles was created by the same engineers and innovators behind Wolf Tooth Components with the vision of building a bike brand focused on delivering the best possible riding experience. Otso is co-located with Wolf Tooth in Burnsville, MN. We are looking for a Sales and Marketing manager to bring Otso to the next level by providing refining and executing our sales and marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will be a team-player who is a self-starter, curious and eager to learn, and should be well organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills is a must. As a part of a small team, you will be expected to both direct the work and in many cases do the work.

Specific job responsibilities will include:
-Creating, managing and executing the strategic Sales plan to expand Otso’s customer base including communicating with dealers and expanding online sales
-Creating, managing, and executing the forward looking marketing strategy for Otso
-Identifying key strategic questions, source quantitative and qualitative insights across industry, competitor and customers either via internal or external resources
-Providing clear direction, feedback and ideas to team to drive day to day and long term growth
-Provide input on social media content, web analytics, e-mail marketing and search engine optimization
-Foster customer engagement and work with brand ambassadors to build brand awareness.
-Help with product launch planning including design and copy, events, and advertising materials
-Owning build specs, margins and the business plan for current and new products
-Driving differentiation through competitive assortment based on industry trends
-Hiring and training new Otso sales and marketing staff as the need arises


Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years cycling or outdoor industry experience
-3+ years people or resource leadership and/or management experience (indirect or direct).
-Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
-Sales leadership and marketing development marketing or related experience
-Advanced understanding of general marketing and sales principles
-Knowledge and hands-on experience with digital marketing and social media
-Expert communication (written and verbal) skills, tailoring communications to fit various audiences and levels
-Expert presentation skills with the ability to present effectively in a clear, concise and insightful manner
-Advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and experience in Excel and Powerpoint
-Experience with Google Drive and Google Docs
-Experience with brand positioning and line extensions in fast-paced product categories
-Proven ability to manage marketing programs and campaigns in a highly dynamic, collaborative environment
-Solid understanding of cycling culture and bike technology

 

 

CNC Machinist

We are currently looking for a CNC Machinist to join our staff at our Burnsville, MN headquarters. Wolf Tooth offers an informal and fun work environment as well as a competitive pay and benefits package including product discounts, paid vacation, health insurance, 401k and bonus program.

Wolf Tooth Components seeks a motivated individual with the desire to become a CNC Machinist for vertical CNC milling and/or turning. Wolf Tooth currently has seven CNC machines in our facility and we have plans to grow.

Compensation: Competitive wage, corresponding to experience and abilities

Required experience and/or aptitude:
High school diploma or equivalent with good knowledge of basic math.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, follow instructions, perform repetitive tasks and conform to safety rules.
Possess a strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to work with one's hands and solve problems.
Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills.
Meet required performance goals by performing work efficiently and avoiding unnecessary distraction.
Assist with machine maintenance and support staff in keeping and clean and organized workspace.
Willingly perform various assignments while exhibiting a strong work ethic, consistent attendance and possess the ability to get along with others.

Job Duties will include but are not limited to:
Raw part deburring
CNC machine operation
Quality assurance and part inspection
Laser engraving
Product assembly
Taking inventory

Working hours: 2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:00pm M-F)

While the work environment is climate controlled, clean, and safe, it is a manufacturing facility, with occasional airborne fumes and particles, mechanical hazards, and an increased noise level. The wearing of ear and eye protection is required as needed. The employee is also required to stand for up to 3 hours between breaks, regularly use their hands in operation of machining and part production, and regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
