2ND SHIFT CNC SETUP OPERATOR 

Wolf Tooth Components seeks an experienced CNC Setup Operator for vertical milling and turning centers. Wolf Tooth has several machines of various types and we have plans to add more.

 

Compensation: Competitive wage, corresponding to experience and abilities

 

Required experience and/or aptitude:

  • Minimum 3 years of combined shop experience between tending, operation and setup.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with good knowledge of math including shop math, trigonometry and basic statistics. 
  • Show proficiency with measurement tools such as micrometers, caliper, hard gauging and hardness testing.
  • Demonstrate the ability to set-up, edit and document changes made in operating CNC machines. Able to change tools and input work and tool offsets using probing, manual touch off and electronic tool setting methods.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, follow instructions, perform repetitive tasks and conform to safety rules. 
  • Possess a strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to work with one's hands and solve problems. 
  • Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meet required performance goals by performing work efficiently and avoiding unnecessary distraction.
  • Assist with machine maintenance and support staff in keeping a clean and organized workspace.
  • Willingly perform various assignments while exhibiting a strong work ethic, consistent attendance and possess the ability to get along with others.

 

Additional desired skills:

  • Machining Certificate, Toolmaking certificate or collection of pertinent coursework
  • Ability to understand and read G-Code and make edits when necessary
  • Experience with product documentation and QC procedures
  • Bicycle Industry experience or a strong interest in bicycling is a plus
  • Experience in working in a supervisory role
  • Be able to provide DFM feedback to designers to improve product design

 

2nd Shift: 2:00PM-10:00PM M-F

 

While the work environment is climate controlled, clean, and safe, it is a manufacturing facility, with occasional airborne fumes and particles, mechanical hazards, and an increased noise level.  The wearing of ear and eye protection is required as needed.  The employee is also required to stand for up to 4 hours between breaks, regularly use their hands in operation of machining and part production, regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.   • Read and interpret engineering drawings, follow instructions, perform repetitive tasks and conform to safety rules.
  • Possess a strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to work with one's hands.
  • Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meet required performance goals by performing work efficiently and avoiding unnecessary distraction.
  • Assist with machine maintenance and keep a clean and organized workspace.
  • Willingly perform various assignments while exhibiting a strong work ethic, consistent attendance and possess the ability to get along with others.

 

Job Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Raw part deburring
  • CNC machine operation
  • Quality assurance and part inspection
  • Product assembly
  • Product packaging
  • Taking inventory
