Premium Aero Headsets for Semi-Internal Routing
Built for riders who prefer the flexibility of semi-internal (under the stem) routing, our Headsets for Semi-Internal Routing were developed for frames using an IS52 headset. These headsets are equipped with a custom seal at the cable entry ports that eliminates contamination from moisture and debris, maximizing bearing life.
Machined from aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum at Wolf Tooth in Minnesota, USA.
Semi-Integration
This Internal headset helps reduce aerodynamic drag by hiding cables away from airflow, while still preserving a more user friendly experience when building up and traveling with your bike. It presents a svelte profile with its ultra-low stack height and narrow, machined profile. Extremely lightweight at only 82g, it sets the benchmark in performance for a semi-integrated cockpits.

These headsets feature an ultra-low 7.8mm upper stack height for a smooth transition from cockpit to headset to frame.
Triple-Sealed Weatherproofing
Sealing against the elements is critical on fully and semi-integrated bikes, where a bearing replacement involves disassembly of the cockpit and a brake bleed.
Like all Wolf Tooth headsets, this new option features our best-in-class triple-sealed system to protect bearings from the elements. It also includes Enduro stainless steel bearings that use the largest possible ball size and are filled with high-pressure waterproof lubricant.
Machined In-House
Machined and assembled right here in Minnesota, USA. Our new Premium IS52 Aero Headsets for Semi-Internal Routing are covered by our Right to Repair program that offers individual replacement parts and service guides.

Wolf Tooth Premium IS52 Aero Headsets for Semi-Internal Routing are designed and machined right here in our Minnesota headquarters with aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum. They are designed to have an ultra-low stack height, to be lightweight, and durable. Our headsets have three levels of industry-leading custom sealing to protect bearings from the elements and prolong the life of the headset. Available in a seven Color Shop anodized finishes. Premium Headsets with Enduro stainless steel bearings carry a lifetime warranty on the bearings.
Compatibility
- Designed for semi-internal cable routing to allow the use of standard 1-1/8" stems and headset spacers with bikes that use an IS52 upper / lower headset and a 1-1/8” to 1.5” tapered steerer tube.
- Only compatible with frames designed for through-the-headset routing.
- Use the compression plug that comes with your fork.
- Sold as a complete upper and lower IS52 Headset.
- Enduro stainless steel bearings included.
- Includes 2x 0.3mm plastic shims to help dial in headset compression if necessary.

- Custom-molded captive rubber seal at the cable entry ports that stops any water or debris from getting in with the brake hoses or shift cables.
- Custom lip seal on the outside of the headset cap interfaces with the frame or EC44 cup to stop any water or debris from getting into upper the bearing.
- Custom overmolded dual-lip crown race seal interfaces with frame to stop any water or debris from getting into the lower bearing.
