BSA Bottom Bracket

Wolf Tooth BSA Bottom Brackets are engineered to be smooth, durable, lightweight, fast, and serviceable at home. Our ground-up design features custom bearings, seals, bushings, and cups, which eliminate creaking and balance best-in-class weather sealing with optimized bearing radial compression, alignment, and preload for low drag.

Wolf Tooth bottom brackets are machined at Wolf Tooth HQ in Minnesota, USA.

Best-In-Class Sealing, No Sacrifice In Speed

Thoughtfully engineered sealing is designed to balance low drag with superior performance in all conditions. The grouping of a spindle o-ring, seals on the bearing/bushing gutter, light inner and outer bearing race seals, shell o-rings, and a labyrinth-style end cap ensure your bottom bracket will spin smoothly no matter what conditions you ride in.

No Creaks

Custom bushings separate the bearing inner race and crank spindle to eliminate metal-on-metal contact, the leading cause of bottom bracket creaks. This bushing also helps enhance bearing longevity with an interface to the bearing gutter seal for maximum weatherproofing. No metal-on-metal contact, no creaks. It's simple.

Wolf Tooth Bottom Brackets are available in Black, Raw Silver, Purple, and Orange, and perfectly match our other Color Shop components and accessories.

User Manual

Wolf Tooth BSA Bottom Brackets are engineered to be smooth, durable, lightweight, fast, and user-serviceable. Our ground-up design features custom bearings, seals, bushings, and cups, which eliminate creaking and balance best-in-class weather sealing with optimized bearing radial compression, alignment, and preload for low drag. They're available for 24mm Shimano, 29mm DUB, and 30mm spindle diameters for maximum compatibility, and four colors to match your other Wolf Tooth Color Shop components.

The bearings in Wolf Tooth Bottom Brackets feature a custom design. The balls and race are made from a hardened chrome bearing steel. This has a higher surface hardness than stainless, which improves the durability of bearing races and reduces spinning resistance and noise. An ACOSUR ZNA coating has also been applied to the race to provide corrosion resistance that is equal to or better than stainless steel after a 500-hour saltwater test. Bearing material paired with an extensive sealing system and the elimination of metal-on-metal contact means Wolf Tooth Bottom Brackets have superior performance in all conditions.
