5th Horseman! A shore classic and my absolute favourite lap. This trail has so much history for me. Back in the early 2000's when I was just a grom, my parents got frustrated with me blowing myself up every other week...
They turned to Ken Maude, OG shore freerider and current owner of Lynn Valley Bikes to give me some proper coaching. He took me on my first lap down the trail and mentored me in the ways of the shore. The trail has the perfect progression of "flow" on top and tech down below.. an absolute banger lap every time. My wife Kelsey and I shot one of our first videos together on it in 2020 and has remained our favourite project ever since. Her career has exploded and now shoots for companies like Redbull and Anthill. I feel like my skills have gotten marginally better so I had the idea to go back, kick a little dirt around and try to shoot another video with better camera equipment and more creative lines. What followed was a full 6 month community revamp of the trail and some of the sketchiest movies I have done to date. Hope you enjoy and looking forward to seeing you all out there be it with a shovel or a bike.
